What's It Like?
I take great pride in creating a unique and personal experience for each and every one of my clients.
So, you may be wondering, what exactly can you expect when you book a session with Z Photography?
Here's a glimpse into what your session will look like and why you'll be left with stunning photographs and unforgettable memories.
Failing to Prepare is Preparing to Fail
First and foremost, I believe that the key to a successful photoshoot is communication;
That's why I take the time to get to know my clients before the actual session. I want to understand their vision, their personalities, and their preferences. Whether it's a family photoshoot, an athletic session, or a special event, I want to ensure that your session is tailored specifically to your needs and desires.
I will email a questionnaire and will often try to meet with the individual before ever grabbing my camera.
Go Time
Once we have discussed your vision for the session, it's time to choose a location.
I have a variety of beautiful outdoor locations to choose from, or we can utilize a special place that holds sentimental value for you. The possibilities are endless, as Eastern North Carolina is so diverse in environments, from rural to industrial, and I am always open to incorporating any special elements that you may have in mind.
On the day of the session, I will arrive early to set up and make sure everything is perfect for your photos.
I understand that being in front of a camera can be nerve-wracking, but I assure you that my laid-back and chill vibe will make you feel at ease. From the onset, there will be no "weirdness" to get over, as I will guide you through different poses and angles while also allowing you the space to be yourselves and showcase your unique connections and personalities.
I take great care in capturing the perfect lighting, composition, and emotion in each and every shot; a reminder I often have to share is that "Perfection is boring" in that the perfect posed shot does very little to show personality or emotion.
Let your perceived flaws become your greatest features.
My way of doing this includes taking multiple photos to ensure we have a variety of options to choose from during the editing process.
To be clear, I also welcome any specific ideas or shots that you may have in mind; this is about you, not me.
What about the "After Session"?
Once we are all wrapped up, I will then work my magic in the editing process.
I carefully select and edit the best images from the session to create a stunning final product. This process typically takes photographers 1-2 weeks, but I get on it damn near immediately and return the photos within 72 hours on average. Things do happen, so I give myself a longer window, but for the most part, you will get your photos that same week.
During this time, I always keep my clients updated on their progress. In 2024, I also plan to offer the option for clients to choose their favorite images for printing and framing.
So, whether you're looking to capture a special milestone, a family reunion, or simply create stunning portraits, booking a session with me, Zac Small, is an experience that will exceed your expectations.
I am committed to making sure that your session is personalized, comfortable, and fun, all while creating beautiful photographs that you will cherish for a lifetime.
I guarantee you aren't going to find anyone who will work as hard for you as me.
